We heard it from our parents: "Don't play with FIRE!" People sometimes "Add fuel to the FIRE" as in, they make the problem even worse. Some of have experienced "a Baptism of Fire" as being challenged by a new experience where you have to deal with an unlikely or difficult situation.
These and hundreds more are the negative definitions associated with "Fire." But did you know there are many positive connotations to fire as well? Like when you have "a fire in your belly" meaning, you are determined to succeed. People can be "fired up," meaning they are energized and enthusiastic.
The Bible speaks about fire roughly 617 times (KJV) both positively and negatively.
In our new series, "Fireology" we are going to study biblical fire and how it applies to us and the world around us
